League Summary
Your team will play one night a week for 10 weeks during Session #1. Divisions include a mix of Competitive (Comp) and Recreational (Rec) leagues.
Recreational League (Rec)
This league is for players who have a basic understanding of the game and are primarily here to have fun. The focus is on good vibes and enjoying the Spike’s atmosphere, with a lighter, more social level of competition.
Competitive League (Comp)
This league is for players who are looking for a more competitive night of volleyball. Participants should have a solid understanding of the game, along with the skills or athletic ability to play at a higher level. The main goal is to enjoy a fun challenge each week while still soaking in the great Spike’s environment.
spike's league rules
- NO open-hand tipping or serve receive
- Players must stay out of the net at all times
- No oversets – two-hand pushes must be made with shoulders square to the net
- To be eligible for tournament play, players must be on the team roster at the start of the season and must have played at least once
Match format
- Sets to 21, 21, and 15
- Win by 2
- All 3 sets are played
- Report all scores in the scorebook — if scores are missing, both teams receive a loss
All players are expected to know and follow Spike’s volleyball rules.
